John DeMichele wants to help create a bright future for Murray Bridge
A local businessman makes his case for re-election in 2022.
This sponsored post is brought to you by John DeMichele.
Why is John DeMichele running for re-election to the Murray Bridge council?
Thereβs still more work to be done, the small business owner says.
Murray Bridge is growing and thriving, but that growth needs to be carefully planned.
Residents need to know that the lifestyle they enjoy will be maintained into the future β and they need a voice on the council.
βOur region has so much potential and we've only just begun to scratch the surface of what we have to offer,β John says.
βI would like the opportunity to continue as a councillor, to keep up the work we've already started and continue to make this region great.β
John grew up in Murray Bridge and has lived here his whole life.
He prides himself on being honest, reliable and loyal, whether in business β he and his wife Kim own a real estate agency β or in his personal life, including his volunteer roles with the Imperial Netball Club.
His priorities during the next four years will include:
- Diverting heavy vehicle traffic out of residential areas where possible
- Continuing residential growth and job creation
- Advocating for small businesses
βI want to build this town for tomorrow,β he says.
βOur kids need to have (an environment) that is going to be positive for them over the next decade-plus.
βThat means good management from elected members β we have a responsibility to make this town great.β
After four years on the council, he feels like he still has more to give.
βI feel like I have more to offer our community and would love the opportunity to continue my role,β he said.
βI am so proud of our region and I will continue to focus on delivering community needs now and in the future.β
