Graham Hallandal knows a thing or two about local news – he was Murray Bridge’s main street newsagent for decades.

These days, however, he keeps up to speed with everything online.

The long-time subscriber, and unpaid contributor of our regular Walk of the Month column, was chosen at random as the winner of Murray Bridge News’ subscriber giveaway for this month.

“(Murray Bridge News) gives you the news you want to read, up-to-date, without all the superfluous information,” he said.

“And it’s by a local team.

“They seem to be everywhere, collecting the latest.”

To say thanks for his support from day dot, Mr Hallandal received a signed book courtesy of Harper Collins Publishers, five DVDs courtesy of KT Promotions and a Murray Bridge News merchandise pack.

Murray Bridge News will give away a prize to another paying subscriber next month as we celebrate our third birthday.

Your support helps Murray Bridge News tell important local stories, like the recovery from this summer's floods; advocate for local parents who are struggling to find childcare; cover community events and council meetings after hours and on weekends; and unearth stories you simply won’t find anywhere else.
