Get your skin checked at the footy at Lameroo this weekend
The Australian Melanoma Research Foundation will provide free cancer screenings at this Saturday’s Southern Mallee-Imperials matches.

Worried about a spot on your skin?
You can get it checked out at the footy and netty if you’re heading to Lameroo this Saturday.
The Australian Melanoma Research Foundation will provide free skin checks at the Southern Mallee football and netball clubrooms as the Suns take on Imperials this weekend.
Checks will be offered on a first in, best dressed basis from 9am until 2pm.
The idea came from a suggestion by Lameroo’s own Glenda Thomson, a passionate advocate for skin cancer prevention who lost her son Aaron to the disease in 2011.
Australia has one of the highest worldwide rates of melanoma, the most common cancer to affect people aged 20-39.
An Australian is diagnosed every 30 minutes, and one dies every six hours.
But 90 per cent of cases can be treated if they are detected early.
The AMRF will also host raffles and other fundraising activities during the day.
Ordinary River Murray Football League fees for admission to the ground will apply.
