Police have charged a woman with arson after a house fire in Murray Bridge on Saturday night.
Firefighters were called to a home on Ridge Road at five minutes to midnight on Saturday.
A fire had broken out in a front bedroom, but a neighbour was able to put it out by the time emergency services arrived.
After taking a look at the scene, police arrested the home’s occupant, a 27-year-old woman, and charged her with lighting the fire.
She was denied bail ahead of an appearance at Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on Monday.
The fire was the fourth reported in the Murraylands in a week, following two at Riverglades and Tailem Bend last Tuesday and a shed fire at Callington on Friday.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a man who was seen allegedly breaking into a car in Murray Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
A witness called police after seeing the alleged theft on Ritter Street around 3.30pm.
Officers tracked down the suspect, a 24-year-old man from Riverton, on Maurice Road and seized items believed to have been stolen, a knuckleduster, a knife and an ice pipe.
They charged the man with theft, unlawful possession and possession of a prohibited weapon and drug paraphernalia.
He was granted bail ahead of a court appearance in Murray Bridge on March 6.
