Firefighters have saved a house at Callington after a fire broke out in a shed on Friday morning.

Emergency services received reports of the fire at a property on Hannam Street just before 4.30am.

Four Country Fire Service crews were able to keep it from spreading to a nearby carport and surrounding houses.

Nobody was injured.

An electrical fault is believed to have started the fire, which caused $50,000 worth of damage.

Firefighters remained on the scene while the sun rose, keeping an eye on smouldering patches.

The fire was the third reported in the Murraylands in the space of a week.
