Want to make a real difference for someone living with epilepsy?

The Murraylands community is invited to a free epilepsy awareness workshop, to be hosted by the Epilepsy Centre and Genuine Support Services Australia.

Led by Leeanne Gaskin, a registered nurse and educator, the workshop will touch on how to recognise seizures, provide safe care, and understand behavioural changes that can affect people with epilepsy.

“The workshops are perfect for medical students, doctors, nurses, neurologists, or anyone who wants to support family or friends living with epilepsy,” Ms Gaskin said.

“We will be exploring all the epilepsy classifications, the causes, and potential treatments for epilepsy.

“Everyone will definitely leave the workshop with some practical, life-saving skills – and it will all be happening in the welcoming, supportive environment of GSSA at 6 Third Street, Murray Bridge, on Thursday, March 26, from 1.30pm to 3pm.”

The session is free, voluntary, and open to everyone, but seats are limited, so early booking is essential.

Don’t miss this chance to learn, connect, and support people living with epilepsy in our community – it could truly make a difference.
