As its name suggests, Eastside’s sells bearing and brake supplies, but it also sells many other spare parts and accessories for your materials handling, engineering, manufacturing, agricultural and industrial needs.

Just some of Eastside’s many products supplied by Richmond Wheel and Castor Co include pallet jacks, table lifters and plastic storage boxes and containers.

With Richmond Wheel and Castor Co as a partner, Eastside’s range of products now also reflects Richmond’s slogan: “If it rolls, think Richmond”.

Eastside Bearing and Brake Supplies owner Scott Bates and Richmond Wheel and Castor Co’s South Australian operations manager, James Stevens, explain why people should be rolling into Eastside’s.

“One of the main reasons is the quality of the products we stock,” Scott said.

“Since Tanya and I have taken over the business, we have wanted to supply a better quality product, and that’s where the partnership with Richmond is perfect.

“Richmond supply quality products at value-for-money pricing: we are not trying to compete with the cheapest brands, preferring to supply better products with great customer service.”

James Stevens drills down into why the Richmond products are superior.

“The ball bearings are precision engineered and manufactured, the steel is better quality and heavier gauge than others, and with the 4 ply tyres on all the pneumatic wheels, for material handling they are a lot more durable,” he said.

“Such attention to detail means improved performance, and the durability saves customers money and less down-time in the long term.”

Another reason why Eastside’s and Richmond Wheel and Castor Co are a good fit is because they both offer knowledge and expertise, and when competing against Internet purchases and budget stores, this is the biggest thing that sets them apart.

Both businesses strive to give fantastic customer service as a priority, and they have the years of experience to back it up.

Richmond is a family-owned Australian business operating across Australia and in New Zealand, and it has been owned by the same Australian family for 64 years.

Likewise, Eastside Bearing and Brake Supplies is a locally owned family business that has been employing local people for the last 42 years.

Eastside’s stands by Richmond products, and Richmond stands by Eastside’s, the biggest distributor of their products in the Murraylands region.

“What we want is the people in Murray Bridge and surrounding areas to automatically think of Eastside’s as their go-to destination for materials handling, engineering, manufacturing, agricultural and industrial supplies, such as Australian-made tubs for all your storage materials,” Mr Stevens said.

If Eastside’s don’t have it in stock, they can order it with quick turnaround times from Richmond.
