Loud, ridiculous and entertaining, Championship Wrestling Entertainment has made its debut at Tailem Bend Football Club.
Doors swung open at 6pm, on Friday, February 27, 2026, with the crowd pouring in, and by 7pm the bell rang on a full-blown spectacle.
From the first round to the final bell at 9pm, the ring shook with body slams, suplexes, clotheslines and the occasional dramatic flop that would have made Shakespeare proud.
Al-Golden stepped through the ropes determined to prove he was more than a backstage joke, courtesy of Dirty Dingo.
He copped a forearm, delivered a thumping body slam, and worked against the crowd like a seasoned pro.
Tex, billed as proudly being from Tailem Bend, strutted around like he already had the trophy on the mantelpiece, championship swagger and all.
But the true chaos agent?
Chicken Man – “he’s everywhere, he’s everywhere” – in the ring, out of the ring, behind the referee, possibly in the rafters.
You couldn’t escape him.
Feathers, real or imaginary, were flying.

The night finished with a cage fight: steel, sweat and theatrical fury, the perfect over-the-top finale.
It was outrageous, it was dramatic, it was pure entertainment.
Championship Wrestling will be returning to Tailem Bend after three sellout events in Adelaide over the next few months.
