An Australian award winning country singer will be paying Tailem Bend a visit to headline this years The Bend Classic.

Over three days of entertainment, The Bend Classic combines cars, country and camping from October 24-26.

Casey Barnes will be headlining on Saturday - a multi-award winner with Golden Guitars, ARIA Awards and APRA Awards.

He'll be joined by other country music artists like Kaylee Bell, Travis Collins, The Wolfe Brothers and more.

"We know there's a really healthy country scene down in South Australia and sometimes the state does get overlooked," Mr Barnes said.

It's not Mr Barnes first time down South but it will be his only show in South Australia this year.

Mr Barnes has just returned from the US, where he recorded plenty of new music after performing at the world’s biggest country music festival – CMAFest.

The Bend Classic may be the exact spot where fans get to hear his new tracks for the first ever time, he said.

"It's exciting that this is happening, and it's such an incredible lineup."

"It's a no brainer combining cars and country music."

Other activities on the weekend include:

  • Wood chopping
  • Line dancing
  • Barbeque festival
  • Family zone
  • Hill climb
  • Motor circuit racing

"We're working on a brand new show, which we'll be bringing down to The Bend," Mr Barnes said.

"We want to see more events like this happen and the best way to show that is to grab a ticket and come along.

"The more successful these thing are the more we can come down there and play," he said.
