Firefighters have attended the scene of a caravan and shed fire at Mypolonga on Sunday night.

At around 8.10pm, four Country Fire Service trucks carrying approximately 18 firefighters attended the fire at a property on Rathjen Road.

The caravan was located beneath a lean-to next to the shed, which contained household goods.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus to support a defensive operational attack, with two Metropolitan Fire Service trucks and eight firefighters provided for support.

Damage to the shed and caravan, along with accompanying property, was estimated at $60,000, with no other property impact.

Nobody was hurt in the fire.

It was the second serious blaze in the area in two weeks, after the loss of a shed on North Bokara Road at Woodlane on October 18.

Drugs found at Riverglades

Meanwhile, two people have been arrested after police conducted a search of a home on Murray Bridge’s east side last week.

Last Tuesday, October 21, Murray Bridge detectives and a dog operations unit searched a Riverglades address.

They allegedly located three grams of methamphetamine, 126 Suboxone strips, other drug paraphernalia and a black motorbike stolen in 2023 from an address in Virginia.

A 42-year-old Meningie man and a 36-year-old Riverglades woman were charged with drug trafficking and theft.
