Block out the date March 25, 2026 in your diary, as you won’t want to miss the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s performance at Murray Bridge Performing Arts and Function Centre.

The ASO will celebrate its 90th anniversary with a series of regional shows next year, kicking off in Murray Bridge.

Colin Cornish AM said the regional tour would be a significant addition to the orchestra’s season.

“The ASO has a deep history of performing across South Australia and is committed to

bringing the orchestra to as many people as possible,” he said.

“We are delighted to be able to present the ASO in the Murraylands, Limestone Coast and Barossa Valley.”

The orchestra will return to Murray Bridge for the first time in a decade for a performance featuring popular classics from the likes of Mozart, Beethoven, Saint-Saëns and Mendelssohn’s magical A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Charismatic conductor and long-time ASO collaborator Guy Noble is excited to be leading the orchestra for these concerts.

“It will be an action-packed 75 minutes of great orchestral music, stories and fun,” he said.

“I hope everyone can come along when the ASO rolls into town.”

Andrew Penrose, principal timpanist, said visiting regional SA was always incredibly enjoyable for the players.

“The audiences bring a contagious enthusiasm which infects the orchestra,” he said.

If you’re already a fan, or even if you’ve never been to an orchestral performance before, you’ll be in for a treat.

The orchestra last visited the Murraylands in 2021, when members performed to a sold-out crowd at Tailem Bend Town Hall.

Correction: The concert will be on March 25, not February 25.
