This year’s SALA Festival will offer a rich selection of South Australian artworks around the state, including in the Murraylands.

You can meet artists, book in for events, go on artist-led tours, tune in to artist talks, attend an opening night, or watch an artist demonstration.

Art Against Extinction

This exhibition will showcase a variety of species on a range of mediums.

See artworks from wildlife conservation artist Deb Farrimond, amateur wildlife photographer Steve Farrimond and scratchboard artist Patrick Hedges.

Open Exhibition

This is exhibition will showcase the talent of Regional Coorong Artists, new and emerging.

  • When: 2 August to 11 September, Monday to Friday 9:30am-4:30pm; opening event August 2, 11am-1pm.

What Will Be

This exhibition will include an eclectic mix of art works by local artists of various disciplines and expertise.

Artists will include Jo Ahrens, Jan Colwell, Heather Davis, Di Dawson, Stephanie Evans, Hayley Griffiths, Sharyn Helman and Emma Hitchings.

Open studio: Glass bead making

Join Julie Frahm for a unique experience, where you’ll have the chance to witness the art of glass bead-making firsthand.

Explore the intricate process behind the crafting of beads and even try your hand at creating your own masterpiece.

  • Connections: Take a look at the symbiotic relationship between the 40 installed sculptures by Greg Johns and the Palmer landscape on August 18.
  • Food for the Soul: Mannum and Tailem Bend Foodland is participating in the “Food For The Soul” exhibition from August 1-31.
  • Karoonda Silos- think big: An outdoor exhibition, where digital projections of artwork will light up the Karoonda main street silos from August 1-31.
  • Random Acts Of ArtAn eclectic exhibition showcasing the varied talents of local Mannum artists at the Dock Discovery Centre, from August 1-31.
  • Coorong CreativesA collection of diverse works of art and assemblage, expression and colour in multiple mediums from August 4-31 at Alberts Gallery via The Chambers.
  • The Future is Ours: Symbolises the innovation and creativity of new generations artists emerging from Mannum Community College at the Mannum institute from August 8-18.
