Fencing and machinery worth $20k stolen at Woods Point
Murray Mallee police investigate a farm theft, arrest three alleged burglars and warn about leaving valuables in vehicles.

Police are on the hunt for whoever stole $20,000 worth of equipment from a farm at Woods Point on the weekend of November 30-December 1.
Taken from the property were:
- cattle yard panels and gates
- a cattle crush
- generators
- a hammer drill and an angle grinder
The break-in occurred sometime between 2.30pm on the Friday and 2.30pm on the Monday.

Three arrested after Riverfront Road break-in
Meanwhile, police have arrested three suspects following a break-in in Murray Bridge on Saturday.
Police were called to Riverfront Road at 3.15pm after three people allegedly entered a shack and confronted the occupants.
One suspect was wearing a balaclava and armed with a knife.
The occupants immediately fled the home and called police.
The suspects allegedly stole alcohol, phones, and other personal items.
Police responded quickly and were able to arrest three people a short distance away: two men, aged 26 and 20, and a 16-year-old boy, all from Murray Bridge.
Each was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft and will appear in court in Murray Bridge.
Investigations are still ongoing.
Lock it or lose it, police warn
Finally, Murray Bridge police are urging the community to remain vigilant after a number of recent thefts from motor vehicles.
Moving into the busy Christmas period, police would like to take this opportunity to remind locals to reassess their vehicle and home security, including locking cars parked in driveways to deter opportunistic thieves.
Consider the following crime prevention tips:
- Lock your vehicle doors and close all windows; if using a remote locking system, ensure that your vehicle is locked prior to walking away
- Install and activate an alarm or immobiliser
- Remove or hide all valuables in your vehicle
- Park off-road or in a locked garage if possible
- While at home, secure your keys out of view from external doors and windows
- Do not leave spare keys hidden in or around your vehicle
