A long-serving local business is in safe hands.

They can keep your business safe, too.

For 25 years, Murraylands Security has been trusted to provide security at events, respond to alarms and run patrols at all hours of the day and night.

But the business faced a major challenge earlier this year when its founder, Rick Pitman, suddenly fell ill and passed away.

The show went on, but its long-term future looked uncertain – until recently.

Enter Barry and Julie Pitman.

Rick’s son Barry, who grew up in Murray Bridge, has taken on Murraylands Security alongside his wife Julie, with plans to grow it into a thriving, locally owned and operated enterprise.

Barry, an Australian Army veteran and federal public servant, is no stranger to security and operational environments, and brings a wealth of experience to the business.

Julie, who home schools their children and runs a small health food business, is handling the bookkeeping and daily operations.

Supported by a crew of local security guards, they’ve got Murraylands Security in a position to grow and meet the needs of more local businesses.

“A number of people have come out of the woodwork and offered to help where they can,” Barry says.

“They wanted to see the business keep running, for Dad.”

These days, Murraylands Security can offer you:

  • Mobile patrols
  • Rapid alarm response services
  • Money escorts
  • Static guards
  • Crowd control at events

If you’ve got a yard or warehouse full of valuable goods, Murraylands Security guards can drive past at random intervals, checking gates and doors or walking around the perimeter of your premises.

If you’re running an event like Murray Bridge Glows or the Pinnaroo Show, their guards can keep your patrons safe and deal with any issues.

If your construction site or retail outlet needs a vigilant set of eyes, Murraylands Security can provide them.

Their biggest point of difference is that they’re local – and in the security world, that’s critical.

If an alarm goes off at your business at 2am, would you rather have a guard come up the freeway from Adelaide, or from just around the corner?

“We can be there a lot sooner,” Barry says.

“We want to help out wherever we can.

“That’s the sort of thing Dad was doing, and it’s something we’d like to keep going.”

So if you need to keep your business secure, go with the safe, local option and get in touch with Murraylands Security.
