What's on this week: September 18-24

Between Supercars, footy finals and a stockman's challenge, it will be a sporty weekend in the Murraylands.

What's on this week: September 18-24

A Supercars double-header will start this weekend with the Repco Super Sprint, the first of two rounds of racing at The Bend Motorsport Park.

Australia’s best racing drivers will duke it out in practice from 9.15am on Saturday, qualifying from 12.20pm and the first of two races at 3.10pm on Saturday, then return to do it all again on Sunday.

There will be fewer support categories than usual at the event, which was hastily thrown together after COVID-19 restrictions forced changes to the Supercars schedule; but combined sedan and racing categories will still feature.

The Aussie Bandit wheel-standing ute and JB Stunts will also entertain on the track, while off it will be the Royal Australian Navy Band, a skydiving display and, as usual, a display of exotic vehicles in the welcome centre.

If you can’t wait until Saturday, two drivers – Jamie Whincup and Shane Van Ginsbergen – will be making an appearance at Drakes Murray Bridge at 5.30pm on Friday.
