Our calendars have flipped over to December, carols are well and truly playing in all the supermarkets and children are writing their letters to Father Christmas.

There are several Christmassy events to get along to this week, including visits to Santaâs Cave at a private residence on Ridge Road, markets in Murray Bridge and at Mannum, and one of the biggest days on Murray Bridge Racing Clubâs calendar: the Christmas Cup.
Friday
Friends of the Murray Bridge Library book sale: 10am-2pm at Murray Bridge Library. Grab a bargain.
Santaâs Cave visits: 8-10.30pm at 59 Ridge Road, Murray Bridge. Book a 15-minute visit: Visit the âeventsâ tab at www.facebook.com/lightsonridge.
Saturday
Christmas market day: 9am-5pm at Murray Bridge Marketplace. Stalls, market day specials.
Terminus: From 10am at Murray Bridge Regional Gallery. Touring National Gallery of Australia exhibition of virtual reality art by Jess Johnson and Simon Ward, featuring alien architecture populated by humanoid clones and cryptic symbols, until January 17.
Mannum community Christmas party: 5-8pm at Mannum Showgrounds. Family event with market and food stalls, prizes for best dressed, choir, bands, entertainment, Santa and his sleigh, Christmas displays, first 250 children under 12 get a free Christmas bag.
Roll racing: SOLD OUT.
SA Sprintcars Club show: SOLD OUT.

Cars and Coffee Murray Bridge: 8-10am at the Coles car park, Murray Bridge Green.
Mannum Riverside Christmas Markets: 9am-2.30pm at Arnold Park. Food, handicrafts, plants, fresh produce, buskers.
Christmas Cup: 11am-6pm at Murray Bridge Racing Club. Thoroughbred racing, food, entertainment, kidsâ activities. Entry: $20 at moshtix.com.au.
Thursday
Community vision plan workshop: 6.30pm at Tailem Bend Football Club. Shape the Coorong councilâs vision for the district for 2021-25. RSVP: 1300 785 277.
