Watch out for speed cameras in the Murraylands this week
Plus Murray Bridge residents catch a burglar red-handed and police pick up two drivers with drugs in their systems.

Murraylands motorists will need to ease up with their right feet this week – SA Police will be keeping an extra sharp look-out for speedsters.
Cameras may be set up at:
- Monteith: Princes Highway
- Murray Bridge: Adelaide Road, Hindmarsh Road, Jaensch Road, Mannum Road, Maurice Road, Old Swanport Road, Seventh Street, South Eastern Freeway, Swanport Road
- Murray Bridge East: Old Princes Highway
- Sherlock: Mallee Highway
- Tailem Bend: Dukes Highway, Mallee Highway, Princes Highway
Other locations being monitored will include several up around Mannum and into the Hills, and further down the Dukes Highway.
Burglar caught red-handed three times in two days
Meanwhile, police have arrested a 27-year-old Murray Bridge man over a series of recent break-ins.
He was charged with trespassing, theft and being unlawfully on a premises after allegedly being caught:
- in the backyard of a Burdekin Avenue home at 1pm on Saturday
- in a rear room at a Swanport Road home at 9.30pm the same day; lanyards and photo ID were later found to have been stolen
- climbing out of a window at a Galway Avenue home at 8.40pm on Sunday; clothing and a credit card were reported stolen
Police arrested the man as he walked along Homburg Drive a short time later.
He was initially refused bail and appeared in court on Monday.
Two caught drug driving
Finally, two local motorists have allegedly been caught drug driving during the past week:
- A 24-year-old Morphett Vale man allegedly tested positive for cannabis on the Princes Highway at Tailem Bend just before 3pm on Friday
- A 43-year-old Murray Bridge woman allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine on Old Swanport Road just after 8am on Saturday
Both drivers had their licences suspended for three months and may face further penalties, depending on analysis of their test results.
