Want to get your hands on some exclusive Murray Bridge News merch?

Starting today, you can sign up for a Murray Bridge News membership – a special subscription tier intended to reward this local news service’s most generous supporters.

Become a member and we’ll reward you with $22.50 worth of goodies:

  • A Murray Bridge News mug, with a bit of encouragement on one side: “have a cuppa, share a story”
  • A Murray Bridge News pen which doubles as a stylus for your tablet or smartphone
  • A Murray Bridge News tote bag for your shopping

The items can either be posted to you or picked up from our office at 16 Sixth Street, Murray Bridge – we’ll let you know when they become available.

Members will also be able to provide feedback on ideas we might be thinking of rolling out, suggesting worthy causes we could raise funds for and so on.

Plus, of course, members will have access to every Murray Bridge News story as soon as it’s published, and will continue to receive our free email newsletter every Thursday.

Become one of Murray Bridge News’ founding members today for $120 per year:

Your membership funds will help Murray Bridge News continue to grow into the independent, sustainable news service the Murraylands needs.

I opened an office on Sixth Street last week, and a part-time journalist will join my team a few weeks from now.

That will help Murray Bridge News publish more local stories each week, but will also help us drill down deeper on important local issues such as our housing crisis, and – to be honest – will protect me against burnout.

Grant funding will cover part of those costs, but grants don’t last forever.

Your support is critical to sustaining and growing our community’s independent, local news service.

Better still, most of your membership dollars will be spent locally: at businesses such as AJ’s Homestore, Bridge Office National and Sign Designs 4U, which helped fit out the office; or Fischer Motors, where we bought a company car late last year.

If you can spare an extra dollar or two per week, please consider upgrading to a Murray Bridge News membership today.

If you feel that you would like to support Murray Bridge News in a more substantial way, feel free to give me a call on 0419 827 124 or write to me at peri@murraybridge.news.

But if you can’t right now, that’s fine – you can help just by spreading the word about this news service.
