April Fools’ Day: Tourism icon announces Murray Bridge mayoral tilt
An icon of the Murraylands' tourism industry has made a surprising announcement on the morning of April 1, 2022.
A long-time Murray Bridge resident and tourism industry leader has announced she will run for mayor at the upcoming local government elections.
Bertha the Bunyip told Murray Bridge News her campaign would focus on issues including over-fishing, water safety and the continued develoment of Sturt Reserve.

It’s Lions 360, but for real this time
Monarto Safari Park has announced it will create a new, more immersive version of its Lions 360 experience.
Visitors will don special meat-infused suits on entry, and will be able to experience uninterrupted, 360-degree views from inside a lion.
A design team is still working out how they will get visitors back out of the exhibit.

A local rodent breeder is planning a drive-through restaurant for local snake owners and their pets.
