Tyndale names its next principal as Bruce Hicks prepares to retire
Tom Cowell, from the Christian school's Salisbury East campus, will take over in 2022.

The principal who grew the old Murraylands Christian College into an R-12 campus of Tyndale Christian School is preparing to retire.
Bruce Hicks will finish up at the end of the 2021 after more than eight years in the role.
The former college’s expansion into high schooling began early in his tenure, as did its merger with Tyndale, and its first year 12 students graduated in 2018.
On August 31, 15 pastors from churches around the Murraylands reflected on those years when they visited the school for an annual morning tea.
They reminisced about the memories they had made, the relationships they had formed, and the school's impact on the community.
They also spoke about the continued need for safe, encouraging environment for students, focused on Christian values.
The school presented each of the pastors with a gift to thank them for supporting young people and other community members.
In a statement, Tyndale later thanked Mr Hicks for all he had done and wished him all the best for his future endeavours.

Tom Cowell named Tyndale’s next principal
Mr Hicks’ replacement has already been chosen: Tom Cowell, currently the senior school deputy principal at Tyndale’s Salisbury East campus.
The school described him as an enthusiastic teacher, experienced learner and passionate Christian.
“I seek to passionately lead a school community that is defined by its inclusivity, that regardless of background or circumstance, young people can find a place and feel they belong,” he said.
“The Murray Bridge region is blossoming into a thriving community, and I firmly believe that Tyndale is well positioned to be able to speak life into the community through our growing reputation as a school of choice.”
