Police have arrested two people over a series of break-ins in Murray Bridge.

A Tussock Place resident called police around 2.15am on Thursday allegedly noticing the pair trying to break into a car parked in their driveway.

Officers stopped and searched a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy who they spotted in a nearby street.

The pair were allegedly carrying a drill which was found to have been stolen from a car in Kingfisher Court, a few blocks away, plus an Artist-brand acoustic guitar which police believed had been stolen.

Each of the suspects was charged with theft, possession of the stolen goods and illegal interference with a motor vehicle.

Both were granted bail; they will face court in Murray Bridge on September 6 and 7.

Anyone who recognises the guitar in the above image should contact the Murray Bridge police station on 8535 6020.
