Police have arrested two Murray Bridge men over a brutal assault on Neumann Avenue earlier this month.

A 34-year-old man received critical head injuries in the attack on May 6, which happened in the middle of the day on the street in Murray Bridge’s south.

On Friday, police revealed that they had arrested two suspects only a few days later.

The men, aged 33 and 18, were both charged with assault causing harm.

Both were denied bail ahead of an appearance at Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on May 10, and both remain in custody.

The maximum penalty for assault causing harm is five years in prison, depending on factors like whether the attackers used a weapon or had malicious intent.
