Two arrested over Hindmarsh Road break-in
Plus a driver loses his licence for six months after being breath-tested on Adelaide Road, and phone problems at the Murray Bridge police station.
SA Police have arrested two men over a break-in on Hindmarsh Road, Murray Bridge last month.
Power tools and other tools were stolen from a business on the road around 8.30pm on January 15.
The break-in was captured on CCTV.
Police arrested a 50-year-old man over the theft last Wednesday, and also charged him with unlawfully being on a premises and interference with property.
Officers then searched a Murray Bridge property last Thursday and allegedly found items which had been stolen, as well as a taser.
They arrested a 49-year-old man and charged him with receiving the stolen goods, unlawful possession and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Both men were granted bail and will face court in Murray Bridge next month.
Driver fails breath test on Adelaide Road
Meanwhile, police have disqualified a Goolwa Beach man from driving for six months after he allegedly failed a breath test in Murray Bridge on Sunday.
The 21-year-old was stopped on Adelaide Road an allegedly blew 0.118, or more than double the legal blood alcohol limit.
He will face court.
Phone problem strikes Murray Bridge police station
Finally, the phone’s have been having problems at the Murray Bridge police station, police have advised.
The problem is likely to persist until Wednesday.
