Truck trailer destroyed by fire at Moorlands
Plus three teenagers are injured in a road crash at Toora, a stolen boat is recovered and two people are reported for cannabis possession.
Firefighters and a quick-thinking truck driver have limited the damage from a fire which broke out aboard a B-double on the Mallee Highway on Monday.
Emergency services received a triple-zero call from Moorlands around 5.20pm.
Three Country Fire Service units arrived to find the driver had already separated his prime mover from two trailers full of carrots, one of which was burning.
The volunteers were able to keep the fire from spreading.
It caused about $80,000 worth of damage.
The 54-year-old driver was not hurt.
Three teens hurt in crash north of Murray Bridge
Meanwhile, three 17-year-olds have been injured in a serious crash just outside Murray Bridge.
Their Ford sedan ran off Kuchel Road and into a ditch at Toora just after 1pm.
The driver, a local boy, received only minor injuries, but his two passengers were seriously hurt.
All three were taken to hospital.
The road was closed for a time but reopened by 5pm.

Stolen boat recovered in Murray Bridge
Police have recovered a stolen boat from an address in Murray Bridge.
Officers allegedly found the ski boat and trailer, which had been stolen at Clarendon 14 months ago, while searching a house on Friday.
They reported a 74-year-old Seaford woman for theft.
She will face court at a later date.
Two reported for drug offences
Finally, police have reported two Murray Bridge residents for cannabis possession.
Police searched a local property on Friday and allegedly found cannabis and associated paraphernalia.
The 34-year-old man and 31-year-old woman will face court.
