A major milestone for Edwards Crossing, now known as Murray Bridge is the centenary celebration of the Murray Bridge Railway Bridge this Thursday.

If you're a rev-head you're spoilt for choice; either the final round of the Australian Superbike Championships or the Formula 500 - either way, bring your earplugs.

For something more fantabulous darling, head along to the drag trivia night supporting Headspace Murray Bridge; glitter and heels a must.

There's plenty to do so get out of the house and have some fun.

Free green waste Drop off day: 8am-4pm at Brinkley Waste and Recycling Facility, Brinkley Road, Murray Bridge. Residents are invited to drop off their green and organic waste to the Brinkley Waste and Recycling Facility during the free green waste drop off day. Proof of residency will be required and acceptable items include leaves, prunings and small branches up to 100mm in diameter. Loads are limited to an 8x5 trailer size; unlimited visits on the free green drop off days are allowed. For more details and a list of unacceptable items please visit www.murraybridge.sa.gov.au.

Intersection community event: 5.30pm-7pm at Murray Bridge Regional Gallery, Sixth Street, Murray Bridge. This relaxed community event is a way for artists, arts-lovers and members of the community based in the Rural City of Murray Bridge region to come together, connect and network. The event will feature an informal artist talk with local artists Lyn Wood, Winter Crane and Nathan Modra, sharing their experiences of being regional artists. Australian Super Bike Championships (day one): Gates from 7am, racing from 8am - 6pm at The Bend Motorsport Park, 342 Dukes Highway, Tailem Bend. Enjoy a wide range of bike racing at the final round of the national ASBk Championships. All the off-circuit activities available including fan zone, the ASBK Trade Alley, ‘Mini Moto come and try’ sessions, autograph sessions and pit lane walks. GA Tickets (Saturday only) - $50 adult, $45 concession. GA Weekend pass - Adults - $70, Concession - $65 from www.outix.co Please note: there is a $5 surcharge for tickets bought at the gate. Sunshiners group - baked goods stall: 10am-2pm at Bunnings, Maurice Road, Murray Bridge. Forget the snags, come and support the Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Sunshiners Group at their baked goods stall. Grab some delicious homemade goodies and support your local hospital volunteers. All funds raised go towards the MBSMH.
