This weekend the Bend Autofest will kicking off once again, featuring the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships, the Bend Classic, the Adelaide Hills Rally and a GT festival.
To celebrate mental health month, local service providers are putting on an expo, with a variety of stalls, activities and guest speakers.
Murray Bridge News’ mayoral forum is also this Friday night, so come along and hear what the candidates would plan to achieve, should they be elected mayor.
On Sunday, Monteith Hall’s 100th birthday will be celebrated with a barbecue lunch; you can read all about the hall’s fascinating history and latest refurb here.
Also, if you guess the name of the new giraffe calf at Monarto Safari Park you’ll go in the running for a double pass to a giraffe safari – but get in quick because the competition ends on Wednesday.

Murray Bridge Mental Health and Wellbeing Expo: 10am-3pm at Murray Bridge Town Hall. A community event that promotes mental health and wellbeing, featuring a variety of stalls and activities. These include sound baths, live music, massages, EFT/tapping and more. Guest speakers on the day will be Body Image Movement founder Taryn Brumfitt and Hutt Street Centre CEO Chris Burns. The event is free.

Murray Bridge mayoral forum: 7-9pm at Murray Bridge Town Hall. Listen to mayoral candidates Wayne Thorley and Dawn Matthews as they introduce themselves and explain what they hope to achieve in the job. The event is free; to register visit eventbrite.com.au.

Art En Plein Air at the Round House: 1-3pm, meeting at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery. En plein air means “in the open air” in French, which is a fitting name since you’ll be making your art amongst the impressive scenery of the Round House. Some art materials will be available to try on the day but participants are encouraged to bring their own materials. Tickets are $20, or $17 concession. Monteith Hall centenary celebrations: 11am at Monteith Hall. BBQ and salad lunch for sale, complimentary afternoon tea. A raffle will be drawn on the day, and a slideshow of past photos of the hall will be on display. All are welcome.
