Today, May 27, marks the start of National Reconciliation Week.

As the 2021 theme says: “more than a word, reconciliation takes action”.

So, locally, the organisers of the Murraylands Deadly Fun Run Series will celebrate National Reconciliation Week with a free fun run, breakfast and awards at Sturt Reserve on Sunday morning – see the details below.

Saturday

River Murray football and netball: Mannum v Tailem Bend at Mannum Oval; Meningie v Jervois at Meningie Oval; Ramblers v Mypolonga at Le Messurier Oval, Murray Bridge.

Roll Racing Adelaide: 5-10pm at The Bend Motorsport Park. Admission: $20 at rollracing.com.au.

Sunday

Walk or Run for Reconciliation: From 8.30am at Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge. Celebrate Reconciliation Week at the last event in the Murraylands Deadly Fun Run series, registrations open 8.30am, run from 9am, breakfast and awards from 10.15am. Register:

Dress up Sunday: 1-3.30pm at Murray Bridge Library. Come dressed as your favourite character, try some live-action role play and non-traditional board games, for all ages, free face painting, first 20 children in costume get a free balloon.

Priscilla: Queen of the Desert information night: 7pm at 9 Short Street, Murray Bridge. Find out about how to audition for or get involved with Murray Bridge Players and Singers’ production of the musical adaptation of the 1994 film.

Monday

Murray Bridge council meeting: 6pm at 2 Seventh Street. Councillors will receive written submissions on their 2021-22 budget.

Wednesday

Funny faces: 4-5pm at Murray Bridge Library. Creative kids craft activity. Bookings essential: 8539 1175.
