Things to do in Murray Bridge: March 18-24, 2022

Whether it’s music, burning rubber, a wager or old machinery you’re into, there’ll be something for you in the Murraylands this weekend.

The Murraylands Multicultural Yuntu-Walun Festival will take over Sturt Reserve on Sunday for a celebration of international music, dance and food.

The Lower Murray Vintage Engine and Machinery Club’s annual rally will be at Murray Bridge Showground over Saturday and Sunday, with plenty to check out.

Murray Bridge Greyhound Racing Club’s biggest night of the year is coming up on Sunday night, too, and there’ll be a couple of events at the Bend Motorsport Park.

Free health age assessment: 45 minute sessions between 8.30am and 4.30pm at Tailem Bend Community Centre. Lower Murray Vintage Machinery Show and Tractor Pull: 10am-3pm at Murray Bridge Showground. More than 150 displays, old trucks, vintage engines and tractors, antique working machinery, hay baling, rock crushing, chaff cutting, vintage cars, raffles, prizes, tractor pull, continues Sunday. Admission: $5, kids free.

Palmer Sculpture Biennial opening night: 12-7pm at Palmer Sculpture Landscape, Devonport Road. Sculptors from around Australia and overseas engage with a unique Australian landscape. Event continues 11am-5.30pm on weekends and 2-5.30pm on Wednesdays until April 10.

Roll Racing Adelaide: 4-8pm at the Bend Motorsport Park. Tickets: $20 at rollracing.com.au or $25 on the gate.

Royal Australian Navy band, Greek dance academy, Deadly Nannas, Mawali Bhagara Academy dancers, San Ureshi instrumentalists, Burundian drummers, Vanuatuan singers, Samba dancers, Nigerian performers, Chinese dance, tai chi sword performance, didgeridoo performance, food and drink.
