The Murraylands Fair was recently awarded the Rural City of Murray Bridge Community Event of the Year and has been nominated for the award for six years in a rowand it’s free.

So check out what all the fuss is about this Sunday at the new location of Pine Park.

The fair focuses on hand-made, homemade and unique goods and services and showcases the many small and home-based events from the Murraylands and surrounds to bring the community together.

Enjoy a great day of family fun, food and atmosphere.

Free legal information session – five key insurance tips for floods: 2.30pm at Tailem Bend Community Centre, 141 Railway Terrace, Tailem Bend. Come along to this important session, presented by the Riverland Community Justice Centre to aid post-floods recovery. The session includes a Q & A with a solicitor. Wingless Sprints 60 Lapper night one: 6pm (racing from 7pm) at Murray Bridge Speedway, 23 Kennett Road, Murray Bridge. Wingless Sprint racing is highly contested in SA, and this weekend will see a large field assemble. Sixty laps should keep motorheads happy in this SA Super Sedan title. Funny Adelaide on Tour, Murray Bridge: 6.459.30pm at the Bridgeport Hotel. Funny Adelaide is loading up the campervan and heading to Murray Bridge for the Fringe. The comedians on this road trip are Mike Klimczak, Fabien Clark, Lauren Thiel and Jono Makai. If you like a laugh, come along. Doors open at 6.30pm, dinner’s from 6.45 to 8pm, and the show itself is from 8pm to 9.30pm. Tickets: $25 (show) and $70 (two-course dinner and show) from adelaidefringe.com.au.

Sprintcars Ross Wright Memorial, Wingless Sprints 60 Lapper night two: 4pm (racing from 5pm) at Murray Bridge Speedway, 23 Kennett Road, Murray Bridge. Tickets: $5–$50 at www.speedwaytickets.com.au.

Aussie Rock: 7.30pm at the Tailem Bend Town Hall. If you missed this exciting Fringe show in Murray Bridge last Saturday, now’s your chance to see it in Tailem. Local musicians Jordan Holmes, Benjamin Gallasch, Peri Strathearn, Aaron Lloyd and Sebastian Hogan perform iconic rock anthems by ACDC, INXS, Hunters and Collectors and many more like them. Murraylands Fair: 10am–4pm at Pine Park, Murray Bridge. The Murraylands Fair is back, bigger and better. This year’s free fair will be at the new location of Pine Park, in the heart of Murray Bridge.

Sunday Sessions: 2pm–3pm, every second Sunday of the month at the Murray Bridge Library. This month’s performers are Katie Peri (yes, that’s right: performers, as Katie Peri are actually two people, playing acoustic music). The perfect way to wind down on a lazy Sunday.

Murray Bridge Cup: 4.30pm–10pm at the Murray Bridge Greyhound Racing Club, Kennett Road, Murray Bridge East. Come to a huge night of greyhound racing at the 2023 Daish Irrigation and Fodder Group 3 Murray Bridge Cup. Entry is with a gold coin donation to the Murray Bridge CFS at the gate. Bird/Song: 5pm–6pm at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery, 27 Sixth Street, Murray Bridge. In this Fringe show, some of Australia’s best classical musicians explore through recorder, voice, cello and harpsichord the lives and sounds of magpies and nightingales in bird song sweet and wild. The composers who will be covered include Telemann, Handel, Van Eyck, Pinel, Dorwath, Bresgen and Adelaide-based Georgina Bowden. Tickets: $15–$25 at adelaidefringe.com.
