Do you fancy yourself as a wordsmith?

This Sunday afternoon, you’ll get an opportunity to read your poetry, prose or lyrics to a live audience.

Murray Bridge Library will host a free, all-ages open mic event for anyone who wants to share something they’ve written.

Youth development officer Aiden Fargher said young people had been bugging him about giving an opportunity for poets to perform, and that their parents had wanted to get in on the act too.

“You can just drop in to view the talent or you can book in to perform,” he said.

“We’re encouraging people of all levels to give it a go.”
