Did you know that almost one in 80 Murray Bridge residents was born in New Zealand?

You’ll be able to join them this Sunday as the Maori Evangelical Church of South Australia presents its annual Waitangi Day event at Sturt Reserve.

If you’ve never tasted a hangi before, you’ll want to get there by lunch time.

For families there’ll be face painting, a bouncy castle, farm animals, mini golf, a magician and more.

Get along between 10am and 2pm – it’ll be sweet as.

Hospitality basics 101: 11am-4pm at Murray Bridge Community Centre, 18 Beatty Terrace. First session in a free eight-week course about cooking and preparing basic lunch dishes, catering for small meetings, basic event planning and an introduction to local venues. Waitangi family fun day: 10am-2pm at Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge. Live entertainment, magician Mickster the Trickster, hangi, food stalls, arts and crafts; free face painting, jumping castle, farm animals and mini golf.
