Murray Bridge Speedway will fire up this weekend for the return of the super sedansā€™ Fireball Challenge.

Event organiser Angel Budarick hoped its re-introduction would lead to it becoming a regular feature on the South Australian speedway calendar.

ā€œThe super sedans division is renowned for providing super-fast and ultra-competitive racing, and we canā€™t wait to see the event build in the future,ā€ she said.

The event has already attracted a competitive field of both local and interstate competitors, including Paul Blenkiron, Kym Jury and five other locals; Tasmaniaā€™s Callum Harper; four Victorians; and Tyson Moon from New South Wales.

Also on Saturday nightā€™s program will be the South Australian title for the V6 sprints, plus wingless sprints, speedcars, formula 500s, street stocks, AMCAs and junior sedans.

The event will have an early start time of 4pm, so gates will open at 3pm.
