The Tailem Bend-Jervois ferry will be closed for a couple of hours next Thursday, February 8, the state Department for Infrastructure and Transport has announced.

Motorists who need to cross the River Murray will have to divert via the Swanport Bridge or the Wellington ferry between 10am and midday.

Workers will be doing some routine maintenance on the ferry.

The department thanked ferry users for their patience.
