Swimming season will soon begin in Murray Bridge
The Murray Bridge Swimming Centre will be open to the public on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
The Murray Bridge Swimming Centre will be open in just two weeks for the 2024-25 summer season.
Locals and visitors alike will be able to enjoy a refreshing dip from Saturday, October 26.
Sunny days of swimming, picnicking and racing down waterslides will continue until March 31, 2025.
The Murray Bridge council stated that this year's fees and charges would have a slight change, but it's website hasn't yet been updated.
Free entry will remain for children under three and aged pensioners 65 years and over.
Council chief executive officer Heather Barclay expressed her excitement about the upcoming season.
"The swimming centre is a central location for many community events, creating the perfect environment for families and friends to spend quality time together,” she said.
Murray Bridge Swimming Centre features a heated Olympic-sized pool, medium-sized toddler pool, water play pPark with five waterslides for children and toddlers, a 48-metre Supaslide and free gas barbecues.
The pool will be open during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6.30am to 7pm
- Weekends/public holidays: 9am to 6pm
Infrastructure and environment general manager Thuyen Vi-Alternetti said the facility attracted visitors from near and far.
"We’re excited to open for the season and introduce new programs, including birthday party packages, wellness programs and swimming lessons,” she said.
An onsite kiosk will be open during operating hours, stocking googles, caps, earplugs, flotation devices, and other swimming essentials, along with food and drink.
Vacswim enrolments are also open and lessons will be held from January 15-19.
