Police are investigating the apparent stabbing of a 34-year-old man.

A Murray Bridge man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed on Tuesday night.

The 34-year-old showed up at the Murray Bridge hospital with stab wounds to his legs just after 11.30pm.

He was transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, police were called and are investigating the matter.

No-one had yet been arrested over the stabbing early on Wednesday morning.

But police reassured the public that they did not believe the attack was random.
