He had been in the doldrums for a little while but promising young golfer Isaiah Durham bounced back with a vengeance in Saturday's golf competition coming out on top with a sizzling 43 points.
Yes, it was a lovely day and the scores were high but the ball still needs to be put in that little hole and Izzy did this best.
After a handy but unspectacular 19 point front nine the long levered junior soared home with a spectacular 24 points down the back for a withering finish.
One would have thought that sort of back nine would ensure a comfortable win in the highly sought after Pro comp and Izzy was cock-a-hoop as he left the course counting his likely winnings in his head.
He didn't count on a blistering finish from more than capable Shane Williss a bit later on though when the excitable B grader put together an amazing last six holes to nab Durham on a countback in the Pro comp!
Never count one's chickens they say, especially in golf.
Williss made his day even better when he took out the equally prestigious Yabby for nearest to the pin on the upside down saucered 14th green.
Just ask him all about it next time you see him and you will get a full and excitable report I can guarantee you!
Not to let his son outdo him totally on the day Keith Durham holed a stunning 45m chip from the dirt on the new par five 8th hole to give him an eagle and a few balls from the eagles nest.

Taylor tops at 300 metres
Fifteen members of the Murray Bridge Rifle Club turned out to compete in the first
championship round of 2025 last Saturday from a range of 300m.
The weather was warm and still early on with wind increasing over the afternoon.
Making a stunning start to the new year was Ian Taylor in F-Standard, who blasted his way to 115.09, with a 57.06 and a 58.03.
He was easily top off-rifle in Standard, two points clear of Gordon Harrison on 113.06, despite scoring a near immaculate 24.03 for his sighters.
Ian’s efforts also saw him carry home the handicap win in F-Class with 134.9, ahead of Adrian Conlon, who won F-Open with 116.09 for a handicap score of 126.3.
In Target Rifle, Rob Paech was the clear off rifle winner, handling the more challenging conditions later in the day with apparent ease, backing up his 49.05 in the first round with a 48.04 in the second for a 97.09, four points ahead of second placed Andrew Heard on 93.07.
It wasn’t quite enough to claim the handicap win for the day however, missing out by 0.8 points to Daniel Irvine, whose 90.05 was enough to sneak a win.
Not going away empty handed was Steve Howard, claiming his first Magpie Award, with four birds.
Shooting continues next week from 400 metres.

Phoenix winner Schillaci hits Murray Bridge race track
An exciting competitor has come out to trial the Murray Bridge Greyhound track ahead of the Murray Bridge Cup.
Schillaci and trainer Jihad Talgi trialed the 395 metre track on January 24, with a time of 22.11 seconds.
Mr Talgi said they'll also be competing in the Australia cup heat in February.
"He's loved everywhere I go," Mr Talgi said.
"He's made a name in Adelaide... just coming back here, the fans, the loving in Adelaide... it just gives them a chance to see him before he retires."
Schillaci isn't far off retiring so this will give people a chance to say their goodbyes, he said.
In 2023 Schillaci won the Phoenix, taking out a $1,000,000 first prize.
The Murray Bridge Cup series will be held on Sunday March 9.
