🔫 Last round of Murray Bridge Rifle Club championship

The last round of the current Murray Bridge Club Championship was held on Saturday from the distance of 400 metres.

The blustery and wintery conditions did not deter the 13 shooters who turned up, but it did limit scoring potential despite the shorter distance.

Top score for the day was from Adrian Conlon, who shot a 116.11 to win the F-Open off-rifle.

Gordon Harrison was the top in F-Standard, scoring 112.6.

But it was David Neumann, who shot 110.06 in F-Standard and was able to win the F-Class Handicap prize, finishing with 128.3.

Peter Byass was the unlucky winner of the F-Class Magpie Award, with four birds.

TR was limited to just two shooters on the day, with Andrew Heard top scoring with an 89.01, also taking out the Magpie Award with a single bird ahead of new shooter Steve Howard (for whom “birds” are not yet counted).

Next week shooters will compete in the Cranwell 15-Shot Match before holding the Club’s Annual General Meeting.
