Murray Bridge Speedway season opener will be action-packed
All racing sections will feature at the motor sport venue this Saturday night, including round one of the street stock series.
Murray Bridge Speedway is set to make a roaring start to the 2024-25 season this Saturday night, September 28.
The opening night will feature all sections, including wingless sprints, formula 500s, super sedans, junior sedans, modified sedans and V6 sprints.
The venue has undertaken major upgrades during its off-season.
This is in preparation for the 2025 Australian Sprintcar Championship, to be held from January 31 to February 1.
A new catch fence was constructed to keep the venue's safety requirements up to date in conjunction with the Murray Bridge Sporting Car Club.
The installation of LED lighting, which began late last season, has now been completed and will make a significant improvement to visibility for competitors.
The race night will also have round one of the MJS Street Stock Series, featuring reigning series champion Nigel Reichstein.
Other drivers include national title holder Nathan Thorne, as well as Drew Flatman, Sam Brumfield, Phil Watson and Jason Duell.
Gates will open at 4pm, with racing to start by 4.50pm.
