This year’s Tailem Bend Street Party, held on Friday evening, was once again an outstanding success, proving that Tailem Bend knows how to throw a celebration.
Despite the unfavourable weather conditions that may have kept some partiers at home, those who attended were treated to an enjoyable evening packed with entertainment, food, and fun.
The event, which has become a staple in the Tailem Bend social calendar, featured a range of activities that catered to all ages.

Live music filled the air, providing a lively soundtrack to the night, while families enjoyed watching the steam demonstrations, a unique and fascinating display that drew much attention.
Children had a blast riding on toy John Deere tractors, a fun and interactive feature, while motor enthusiasts marvelled at the impressive display of motorbikes and cars provided by the Tailem Bend Auto Club.
Unfortunately, the highly anticipated thunderous fire-breathing drag cars, usually one of the highlights of the party, were canceled due to high winds, but this didn’t dampen the spirits of those in attendance.
A wide array of food trucks offered a variety of cuisine to satisfy all tastes, adding to the festive atmosphere.

More enjoying the Street Party were Harley Wilson; Jo and Kayce McGrath; Darren and Roy Drewett with Ben Hedge; Judy Hein; Gary Carts of Craigmore on guitar with Harley Wilson of Burra on drums; Kayce McGrath; Mower Racer Amanda Bishop; Kristy Persello and Jake Cazzolat; and Matthew Tyler. Although the night was missing the roar of ground-vibrating drag cars, attendees were still treated to a peaceful, enjoyable evening under the stars.
The Tailem Bend street party continues to prove itself as a premier event for the town, showcasing the community’s spirit, resilience, and ability to come together and celebrate, even when the weather doesn’t fully cooperate.
