Meals on Wheels SA has thanked the volunteers from its Murray Bridge branch with a meal of their own to celebrate another year of community service.
More than 60 volunteers came along to an afternoon tea at Murray Bridge Greyhound Racing Club on Monday.
The local branch of Meals on Wheels has delivered close to a million meals to people who need them over the past 53 years, and continues to help about 180 local clients each week.
Clients will even get Christmas cakes with their meals on December 22, courtesy of Murray Bridge Lions Club.
