The Murray Bridge branch of Meals on Wheels branch have celebrated their year with a Christmas lunch.
Smiles and laugher filled the room as the door prizes were drawn for a lucky few and afternoon tea was served.
Kenn Freeman was awarded a life membership for his 15 years of service with Meals on Wheels by General Manager at MOW South Australia, Julie Bonnici.
Jacque Canavan, Branch Manager Flagship at Commonwealth Bank spoke on the threat of scams and fraud.
"It can happen to anyone, scammers don't discriminate," she said.
Things to watch out for included a sense of urgency in the text, call or email, a promise that's too good to be true, and if it contains links or attachments.
One way to keep yourself safe is to have strong passwords, Ms Canavan said.
Long wacky passwords that are hard to guess but easy to remember were recommended.
This included options like 'My pet has a PHD', 'My cat is blue', or even lyrics to a favorite song.
Stopping and checking messages before clinking links or sending money, is the best way to protect yourself.
