More than 150 Lions Club members from four states and territories have congregated in Murray Bridge over the weekend for their annual district convention.
Lions came from all over district C2, an area which includes southeastern South Australia, a corner of Victoria, far western New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
Murray Bridge News went along to the event’s official opening at the performing arts and function centre, and a supper at the skills centre across the road, on Friday night.
Festivities continued with a full-day program on Saturday, a gala dinner at the Bridgeport Hotel that night and concluded on Sunday.
The event was hosted by members of the clubs of zone three: Murray Bridge, Murray Bridge City, Tailem Bend, Mannum, Lameroo and Pinnaroo.
Its theme for this year, set by district governor Carolyn Kilpatrick, was “we serve, we care”.
