The Governor of South Australia, Frances Adamson, has taken a tour of Tailem Bend and the Coorong district this week.
Her Excellency met community group representatives at Tailem Bend Town Hall on Tuesday morning, and local business leaders that evening.
She spent the rest of her two-day trip visiting schools, the Tailem Bend solar farm, Pangarinda Botanic Garden, the Lower Lakes and other sights.
She fondly remembered competing in rowing regattas at Tailem in her younger days.
Coorong Mayor Paul Simmons said the trip would give her an opportunity to gain a good working knowledge of the district, and to thank local volunteers and workers for all they did for the community.
