Almost 400 people have galloped up to Murray Bridge Racing Club for one of the more colourful race days for the year.
Guests were encouraged to get their cowboy on for Saturday’s Country Race Day, with mechanical bull riding and prizes for the most rootin’, tootin’ fashions on the field.
But perhaps the day’s best entertainment was a race in which a dozen sponsors ran 100 metres to the finishing post while wearing inflatable horse costumes.
A truly impressive dive from Joe Cox won him the day, about half a second before he landed face first on the soft track.
