Police are investigating after two shots were fired into a house on Gail Crescent on Monday morning.

Police are investigating after two gunshots were fired into a Murray Bridge home on Monday morning.

Officers were called to the house on Gail Crescent around 3.30am after its occupants were woken by the sound of gunfire and windows smashing.

Two shots had been fired into a front bedroom.

Nobody was hurt in the shooting.

P-plater clocked at 138 in an 80 zone

Meanwhile, a P-plate driver will face court after allegedly being detected driving nearly 60 kilometres per hour over the speed limit at Tailem Bend on Monday.

Police allegedly spotted a Hyundai sedan travelling at 138km/h in an 80 zone on the Princes Highway around 3am.

They pulled over the driver, a 22-year-old Kidman Park man; reported him for speeding and breaching his licence conditions; and suspended his licence for six months on the spot.

Drink driver caught on Gail Crescent

Finally, a 50-year-old Murraylands man has lost his licence for 12 months after allegedly being caught drink driving in Murray Bridge on Australia Day.

Police stopped the man’s Holden ute on Gail Crescent – yes, the same Gail Crescent – around 11.40pm last Thursday.

He allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.182, more than three times the legal limit, after a breath test.

Officers confiscated his vehicle; he’ll face court.
