Police are investigating a fire on a rural property just outside Murray Bridge.

A shed and vehicle have been destroyed in a fire on a rural property just outside Murray Bridge.

Firefighters were called to the property on Kuchel Road, Murray Bridge North around 9.30pm on Tuesday.

A resident had just arrived home to find the shed on fire.

In the end, 30 firefighters in seven trucks, from both the Country Fire Service and Metropolitan Fire Service, were needed to control the blaze.

Police and paramedics also attended.

By the time the fire was extinguished, it had caused an estimated $100,000 worth of damage.

Nobody was injured.

Fire cause investigators were expected to take a look at the scene on Wednesday, and police are also investigating.
