Rotary and police team up to help with homelessness
A number of free shelter bags will be made available to anyone who needs them at two locations in Murray Bridge this winter.
Murray Bridge residents experiencing homelessness will again be able to stay warm and dry this winter by picking up a free swag.
For the third year in a row, the Rotary Club of Mobilong and SA Police have sponsored a number of “shelter bags”, available for pick-up from the Murray Bridge police station or AC Care.
The lightweight, waterproof and ventilated bags include a mattress and padded hood, offering a degree of comfort and privacy.
They roll up into a backpack for portability.
The bags are available with no questions asked, and with all requests for help to be treated confidentially.
