Rodney Waltrovitz wins Murray Bridge News’ subscriber giveaway for January 2024
The Murray Bridge plumber explains why he subscribed: to stay informed about what’s happening locally.
As a plumber, Murray Bridge’s Rodney Waltrovitz gets around town on the regular, meeting people and hearing their stories.
Still, it would be hard for any one person to find out about everything that’s happening locally.
That’s why he subscribed to Murray Bridge News just over a year ago.
“It’s just to hear what things are happening locally,” he said.
“You hear things by word of mouth, but there’s things (Murray Bridge News) brings up that you don’t hear.
“(Murray Bridge News) keeps a person informed about what’s happening around the place.”

Mr Waltrovitz’s support earned him a book, a T-shirt, some DVDs and more this week, after he was selected as the winner of Murray Bridge News’ January subscriber giveaway.
Each month, one paying subscriber will be selected at random to receive a bag of goodies.
Our subscribers’ support helps us tell stories that connect, uplift and empower local people; tell important local stories about plans for Murray Bridge’s population growth; advocate for a long-term fix for the River Murray’s levees; cover community events and meetings after hours and on weekends; and unearth stories you simply won’t find anywhere else.
