Police investigate car theft, arson, business break-ins
Can you help police find the people responsible for these crimes in Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend?
Police need your help with four current investigations in the Murraylands.
Sometime after 7pm last Thursday, a Holden sedan was stolen from the front yard of a house on Lorikeet Street, Murray Bridge.
It was found on Short Street early the next morning, burnt out, with burn-out marks nearby.
Just after 9am on Saturday, police and firefighters responded to a fire at an unoccupied house on Railway Terrace.
Investigators later determined that the fire had been deliberately lit, with an accelerant used.
A similar-sounding fire had previously broken out at an unoccupied Railway Terrace house in April.
Finally, a shed on Granites Road, Tailem Bend belonging to a business was broken into twice during the past week: once on Thursday night or Friday morning, and again between Friday night and Sunday morning.
Tools, drills and batteries were stolen.
Police ask anyone with information about any of the thefts or the arson to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
