Missing Murray Bridge man found ‘safe and well’
Plus police arrest an alleged car thief and an erratic driver.
Missing Murray Bridge man Paul Neumann has been found “safe and well”.
SA Police declared the 46-year-old a missing person on Tuesday night, after he was last seen at his home that afternoon.
However, he was found on Wednesday morning.
Police thanked members of the public for their concern.
Arrest made over car theft
A sharp-eyed Murray Bridge News reader spotted several police cars converging on Jarvis Avenue, Murray Bridge on Wednesday morning.
They allegedly located a stolen car at a property on that street around 9.30am, according to a police spokesman, and arrested a man.
Crime scene investigators attended the scene.
Drink driver found six times over the limit
Meanwhile, Murray Bridge police have arrested a driver who allegedly blew more than six times the legal blood alcohol limit.
Officers stopped a vehicle which was being driven erratically on Mannum Road just after 6.30am on Friday.
When they breath-tested the driver, a 54-year-old Mannum man, he allegedly blew 0.312.
They arrested him on the spot, confiscated his vehicle for 28 days, and banned him from driving for 12 months.
He will face two drink driving charges in court.
